Are you not getting as much air as you want to? Is it frrustraiting you?
If so, did you know that you could actually learn how to jump higher in basketball games. And you can do it starting tonight! When I look back at what I was doing when I was trying to final dunk, these are the two things that helped me the most.
1) You body is an engine that can’t run on junk fuel. You need to be sure that you improve your hydration like with Powerade or Gatorade. The story is that you are supposed to get those 8 cups, but I have to tell you if you are going to be running on the court a lot and actually practicing to get better you should really try to get more than the minimum. Normally I’ll make a big jug of either Powerade or Gatorade (whatever is on sale) and take it with me everywhere throughout the day. That way I can grab a drink here and there as needed. It’s really helpful even if it doesn’t sound like it. It makes a big difference for me.
2) You’re going to need a little help with your technique. The best training in my opinion is The Jump Manual. They give you a probably the most comprehensive list of exercises that you can imagine using. That’s probably because they did a lot of research about how athlete’s who are running really need to jump.
Those are the two best things I did for my jumping ability so I’m glad to have gotten to pass it on! I’ve heard back from a few people that have followed in my foot steps and all I can say is keep the emails coming in! If you want to be amazing you should see what this guy did!
